How is health and safety being handled for this year’s conference?

First Affirmative Financial Network is committed to conducting our event in a safe in-person format. We sincerely hope you will join us on-site at The Broadmoor Hotel. Our priority is first and foremost the safety and well-being of our guests and team members.  While the COVID-19 pandemic is still present, we are partnering with The Broadmoor Hotel to maintain a safe and healthy environment to include mask wearing and physical distancing.

How many people will be attending the ESG for Impact! 2021 Conference?

We anticipate in person attendance to be approximately 300 attendees.  This includes attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and support staff.  We are committed to the health and safety of every participant.

Will social distancing be possible at the ESG for Impact! 2021 Conference?

First Affirmative Financial Network has been working with The Broadmoor Hotel to comply with all public health and safety protocols to help ensure the safety of participants.  That includes the ability to social distance.  Our conference will be mostly conducted in Broadmoor Hall B with our breakout sessions in the newly constructed Bartolin Hall.  Each space has a combined total of over 24,000 SF of space.

Will First Affirmative Financial Network require attendees to be vaccinated to attend ESG for Impact! 2021 Conference?

First Affirmative Financial Network encourages attendees to be vaccinated and continue to practice COVID-19 safety precautions.

Will there be limits on the number of people allowed on the exhibit floor and at speaking engagements?

We are working closely with The Broadmoor Hotel, and will continue to monitor CDC, Colorado State, and local El Paso County public health guidelines to make informed decisions. We will continue to update this site as we get closer to the event.

What is the attire for this year’s conference?

Attire is business casual for all activities including the meetings and dining events.

What if I am unable to attend after I register for the conference?

Your conference registration is transferrable if you are unable to make the event due to unforeseen circumstances.

You can be issued a refund if you become ill or notify us of your cancelation by September 24th.

Hotel Cancellation Policy: In order to prevent a cancellation or change fee of one night’s room rate, cancellation or reduction in arrival and/or departure dates must be confirmed no later than five (5) days prior to your arrival date.  

What are my responsibilities for travel and expenses?

Guests are responsible for hotel room expenses as well as air travel to Colorado Springs or Denver and ground transportation to and from the hotel. Please check our transportation page for shuttle services to the Broadmoor Hotel and Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Once you arrive at the conference, First Affirmative Financial Network will provide nearly all of your conference needs including meals. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional service and make this conference an invaluable use of your time. If you have any special requests, please do not hesitate to ask.

How do I make changes to my registration or reservation?

If you have any changes, cancellations, or questions about registration, please contact Jennifer Waterman (jenniferwaterman@firstaffirmative.com) for assistance. Please DO NOT submit another form or contact the hotel(s) directly regarding changes to your room reservation dates. We are holding a room block at The Broadmoor Hotel and the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. In order to receive our special discounted room rate, please do not make your reservation directly with the hotel.

What is the weather in Colorado Springs in October?

The average minimum temperature in Colorado Springs during the month of October is 2.5° C (36.5° F). October is a dry month with an average of 25mm (1.0in) rain. Drink plenty of water with electrolytes while you are here to avoid altitude illness. Due to the dry environment, you can easily become dehydrated. The average maximum temperature in Colorado Springs during the month of October is 18.7° C (65.66° F).

What should you wear in October? For visitors traveling to Colorado Springs, we recommend wearing layers. You may want to bring a warm jacket.

What can I do if I need to print documents once at the conference?

The Broadmoor Hotel has a business center available for your use.

What is covered by the hotels mandatory daily service charge?

The Broadmoor

In an effort to add value and simplify incidental fees encompassing a number of guestroom services, offerings and activity access, a daily resort charge will be added to your account daily. This charge is separate from the room rate and from taxes. This amount is guaranteed for 2021. The daily resort charge is $32.00 per room, plus tax, and includes:

  • Wired and wireless high-speed internet access up to 4MB
  • Local and toll-free calls up to one hour
  • Online access to over 7,000 newspapers and magazines
  • Unlimited access to our Fitness Center
  • Two daily group fitness classes: Early bird aquatics and Broadmoor Bootcamp
  • All incoming faxes
  • Resort and activity shuttle service to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Starsmore Visitor and Nature Center, The Broadmoor World Arena, and the Broadmoor Seven Falls
  • Complimentary Notary Services available by appointment. Please dial “0” to arrange
  • Admission to movies and select matinees in the Little Theatre
  • In-room hot beverage program: teas, coffee, hot chocolate
  • Two bottles of water and ice delivered daily at turndown
  • Art and History Tour: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10:30 AM
  • Golf Clinic: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3:00 PM (Seasonal)
  • Tennis Round Robins: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 4:00 PM (Summer); Fridays at 5:00 PM in the Tennis Bubble (Spring/Fall/Winter)
  • One-hour use of paddle boats (Seasonal)

Cheyenne Mountain Resort

A daily resort charge will be added to your account daily. This charge is separate from the room rate and from taxes. The daily resort charge is $20, plus tax, and includes free self-parking, unlimited personal Wi-Fi access, unlimited local calls, unlimited 800 calls, in room coffee and tea, golf bag storage, access to the Country Club of Colorado and its golf courses (green fees apply), spa, fitness facility, aquatics center, beach/lake, recreation courts, and fitness classes.

Resort Services and Amenities: Surrounded by a sweeping mountainscape and picturesque views, our 316 well-appointed guest rooms and suites are arranged in eight residential lodges across Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Modern amenities, supreme comfort, and an understated Rocky Mountain-inspired decor create the ultimate escape from the everyday.
